Poco Pad 5G India Launch on August 23, 2024; Tablet To Feature 12.1-Inch Display

Poco India will introduce its first-ever tablet in the country on August 23, 2024. The company has teased the upcoming tablet on its official Twitter account, revealing its display, design, and keyboard, along with the launch date. According to the teaser, the Poco Pad 5G launch will occur on the above-mentioned date, at 12 pm IST. A dedicated landing page is set on Flipkart, which hints the tablet will go on sale via the e-commerce platform.

According to the Flipkart page, Poco Pad 5G will come with a 12.1-inch XL display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a brightness of 600nits. The device is seen in blue color, along with a keyboard and a stylus. At the bottom edge, speaker grilles, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack are visible. It is important to note that the Poco Pad 5G global variant comes in grey and blue colors. So, we expect the Indian variant to get the same shades.

Apart from this, no other information is available to us. The Poco Pad 5G global variant is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 14-based HyperOS UI. For optics, Poco Pad 5G will sport an 8MP front and rear camera and pack a 10,000mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging support, allowing up to 16 hours of continuous video streaming.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. As far as the keyboard is concerned, it will feature a 64-key layout for better typing experience. In addition, the keyboard will come with shortcut keys and a pen holder, dirt, fingerprint, and oil-resistant material. Lastly, Poco Pad 5G is said to be priced between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000 in India.
